Washington DC with Dylan & Connor: The White House

We were fortunate to get into the White House! You have to apply through your Congressman's office 90 days prior to visiting. Just 2 days before our trip we found out we got in. We went through three security checks -- Dylan thought there should have be more. The final was a body scan. The tour is short since it's just the lower floor. It's self-guided and secret service officers are posted throughout. You can ask them any questions you want. As Connor ate his breakfast he thought he might ask "since I've been eating cereal since I was 3, do you think that makes me a 'cereal' killer?" We all laughed and said -- no don't ask that question! It was pouring rain as we left for the tour. We had to be there at 7:15 so rise and shine everyone by 6:00 am to get a Lyft!
