We
brought our grandsons, Dylan-15 and Connor-13 to Washington DC. Today was our first day to see and experience
America’s Capital. We started at Ford
Theater where Abraham Lincoln was shot.
We began there because today was the only day this week we could go into
the theater. The theater is still used
for plays and they are getting the sets ready to rehearse A Christmas Carol which opens next week. We had the audio tour of the museum below the
theater where you can follow the days leading up to the assassination, learn
about the conspiracy and see the pistol used and items belonging to the
Lincoln’s. Across the street we toured
the Peterson house where Lincoln died.
